The concerts, starring Rob Lorey (Beauty and the Beast, Aspects of Love), Roger DeWitt (The Woman in White) and Nick Cartell (Off-Broadway's Frankenstein), begin Sept.16 at New Jersey's Fair Lawn Community Center.

The concerts, which raise funds for Skyline’s educational programming and operating expenses, play Sept. 16 at 7:30 PM; Sept. 17 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM; and Sept. 18 at 2 PM.

The cast also includes Carly Casey, Joe Bryne, Ryan Vallo, Lindsay Braverman, Lauren Palmieri, Hillary Schranze, Sue Boland, Caitlin White, Alan Van Antwerp, Corey Masklee, Isaiah Frizzelle and Andrew Kreup.

In Pirates of Penzance, according to Skyline, "Frederic (Cartell) is apprenticed to a band of tenderhearted, orphaned pirates, led by the raucous Pirate King (Lorey). Upon completing his 21st year, Fredric is free to return to respectable society. But it turns out that he was born on February 29 in leap year, and he remains apprenticed to the pirates until his 21st birthday. By the end of the operetta, the pirates, a Major General (DeWitt), his beautiful but unwed daughters, and the timid constabulary all contribute to the cacophony."

STC’s season of classics continues Dec. 17 with a new version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, performed in a one-man tour de force, and concludes with Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, running May 18-20, 2012.

Skyline Theatre Company is Bergen County's professional theatre company.

The Fair Lawn Community Center is located at 10-10 20th Street in Fair Lawn, NJ. For more information and tickets, call (800) 474-1299 or visit www.skylinetheatrecompany.org.
