SEATTLE -- Pirates of Lesbos, Seattle playwright Jeff Resta's raunchy and laugh-filled lesbian spoof of buccaneer epics, produced by Vixen Productions, has extended its run through Mar. 22. An audience and critical hit, the show features Shawn Yates as the not so innocent heroine, as well as author Resta in a variety of roles, directed by Jennifer Jasper. Amongst cross the board critical raves, Seattle Weekly called it "Great and silly fun, which somehow manages to mix up dirty jokes, sword fights and melodrama with some real social commentary on the uses and abuses of language and gender roles."
Pirates of Lesbos runs Fri-Sun evenings at 8 PM at Re-bar, Howell and Boren, downtown Seattle. No one under 21 admitted, and ID is required. For tickets ($10), call (206) 215-4538.
