The season opens on October 14 with I Pagliacci, featuring Mary Mills as Nedda, Lester Lynch as Tonio, and Richard Leech as Canio in a Montreal production led by PO music director John Mauceri. The Magic Flute opens in March with Amanda Pabyan singing Queen of the Night and Gregory Reinhold performing Sarastro. A collaboration with the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, the new production is directed by Jonathan Eaton and designed by Danila Korogodsky.

In May, Nathan Gunn sings the title role of Billy Budd in Francesca Zambello's Covent Garden production. Greer Grimsley will sing John Claggert and Robin Leggate the part of Captain Vere. John Mauceri conducts; Christian Rath directs.
