News Playbill Poll: Who Should Join Laverne Cox in the TV Remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"? It was recently announced that "Orange Is the New Black" star Laverne Cox will star as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a role made famous by Tim Curry, in Fox TV's 2016 remake of the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Playbill.com took to Twitter to ask its readers to suggest actors they thought should join Cox in doing the "Time Warp."

As Brad, a hero:

In "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," Brad Majors is perceived to be awkward and clean-cut — a stereotypically perfect boyfriend and fiancé. However, it takes a surprisingly little amount of persuasion to get Brad to let loose. The role of Brad was originated on screen by Barry Bostwick, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Damn It, Janet."

Darren Criss

Darren Criss recently starred on Broadway in the title role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He was also seen as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and portrayed Blaine Anderson on "Glee." Criss was the man behind the creation of Elsie Fest, a live outdoor music festival featuring Broadway performers singing show tunes and some of their favorite songs.

Jonathan Groff

Jonathan Groff is currently starring as King George III in Lin-Manuel Miranda's critically acclaimed Broadway musical Hamilton. Groff originated the role of Melchior in Spring Awakening and starred in the HBO series "Looking." Groff will begin filming the "Looking" TV film finale later this month. The role of Janet was originated on screen by Susan Sarandon, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch Me."

Megan Hilty

Megan Hilty has appeared on Broadway as Glinda in Wicked and as Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5. She also starred as Ivy Lynn on NBC's "Smash" and brought her performance as Marilyn Monroe in the fictional musical Bombshell to the stage in a one-night-only concert performance. Hilty is set to star in a City Center concert version of Annie Get Your Gun and Roundabout Theatre Company's 2016 Broadway revival of Noises Off.

Emily Padgett

As Riff Raff, a handyman

In "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Riff Raff is a servant who works in Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle. He and his sister Magenta assist in creating Rocky. The role of Riff Raff was originated on screen by Richard O'Brien, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Time Warp."

Wesley Taylor

Wesley Taylor has appeared on Broadway in the original casts of The Addams Family and Rock of Ages. He recently starred as the Emcee in Signature Theatre's production of Cabaret. Taylor also appeared as Bobby on NBC's "Smash."

In "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Magenta is a maid who works in Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle. She and her brother Riff Raff assist in creating Rocky. The role of Magenta was originated on screen by Patricia Quinn, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Time Warp."

Heidi Blickenstaff

Heidi Blickenstaff is currently starring as Bea in Something Rotten! on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include [title of show], The Full Monty, The Little Mermaid and The Addams Family.

As Rocky, a creation

In "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Rocky is a creation of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. In many incarnations he is seen wearing nothing but shiny gold shorts. The role of Rocky was originated on screen by Peter Hinwood.

Nick Adams

In "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Columbia is the ex-girlfriend of Eddie. At first, she is very attentive and loyal to Dr. Frank-N-Furter, but eventually turns on him when she realizes that he is only using her. The role of Columbia was originated on screen by "Little" Nell Campbell, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Time Warp."

The role of Eddie was originated on screen by Michael Lee "Meat Loaf" Aday, who can be heard on the film soundtrack singing "Hot Patootie (Bless My Soul)."

Lea DeLaria
