Diana Puertas: Laura Osnes. She is hands down PERFECT for this role.
Daniel Youngelman: Laura Osnes is beautiful and would be wonderful in this role!
Heidi Lynn Scheuermann: I don't understand why this is even a question. Laura Osnes is the only option. And for the love of all that is good in this world we need Tveit as Dimitri!
There was a large amount of support from Playbill.com readers to see Laura Osnes in the title role of Anastasia, perhaps because the Broadway actress was Tony-nominated for previously playing a princess in Cinderella. Osnes also received a Tony nomination for playing Bonnie Parker in Bonnie & Clyde. Her earlier stage credits include Anything Goes, South Pacific and Grease.
Noddea Moore Skidmore: Sierra Boggess has that glorious childlike awe in her eyes, along with the class and grace of a young woman. She's the perfect Anastasia.
Courtney Cohen: Definitely Sierra Boggess in the role of Anya.
Maggie Salko: Sierra Boggess, she has the perfect voice to sing Once Upon a December
Sierra Boggess, who currently stars in the musical comedy It Shoulda Been You on Broadway, began her career as love interest Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera. Her next leading role was as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, for which she received a Drama Desk Award nomination. Boggess is slated to next appear in Andrew Lloyd Webber's adaptation of School of Rock – The Musical, in the role of the headmistress.
Grace Lilley: Krysta Rodriguez could definitely play it well - she'd nail the sass that Anya needs but also put across the really emotional songs like Once Upon A December
Brad A. Goodman: Krysta Rodriguez would kill this role! Such spunk, pizzazz and a killer voice to boot!
Lindsay Cronin: Krysta Rodriguez would be perfect! She's so spunky, courageous, and absolutely exemplifies Anastasia!
"Smash" and Spring Awakening star Krysta Rodriguez has a Broadway career spanning more than a decade. She made her Broadway debut as a swing in Good Vibrations, and quickly worked her way up to bigger roles including Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and Casey in First Date. Rodriguez has been courageously outspoken about her fight against cancer, a diagnosis that came just two months after her 30th birthday. Read her exclusive interview with Playbill.com about forging ahead despite her illness and feeling fabulous.
Miranda Miller: My choices for Anastasia: Laura Osnes, Sierra Boggess, Teal Wicks.
Currently performing on Broadway as Mary Barrie in Finding Neverland, Teal Wicks' earlier stage credits include Jekyll & Hyde and Elphaba in Wicked. An active member of the Broadway community, the star recently held a tribute concert for Harold Arlen at 54 Below, where she invited a string of fellow performers to join in singing tunes by the celebrated jazz artist.
Barbara Hoeschen; Anna Kendrick
Mark Gutis: Anna Kendrick
Betsy Kilsheimer: Benge Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick made her Broadway debut as a fresh-faced 13-year-old in High Society, earning a Tony nomination for her work. She has since performed in a range of musical films, including the recent adaptations of Jason Robert Brown's celebrated "The Last Five Years" and Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods." She also leads the cast of the popular blockbuster series, "Pitch Perfect," now slated to include a third feature film.
Andy Lieberman: Laura Osnes as Anya and Aaron Tveit as Dmitri!
Jill Bury: Aaron Tveit or Ramin Karimloo as Dmitri and Sierra Boggess as Anastasia
Emma Marcanio: Give a new face the title role, as long as Aaron Tveit is Dimitri I'll watch it
Maddi Ostapiw: Laura Osnes or Jenn Damiano as Anya, and we gotta get Aaron Tveit back for Dimitri!
Zoe Nichols: But can we have Aaron Tveit as Dimirti??!!
Despite polling for the role of Anya, many readers were enthusiastic about casting Aaron Tveit as her love interest, Dimitri. After touring nationally with Rent and Hairspray, Tveit made his Broadway debut as Link Larkin in Hairspray in 2006. Further Broadway credits include Fiyero in Wicked, Gabe in Next To Normal and Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can. He played Enjolras in the feature film adaptation of "Les Misérables" in 2012 and stars as Mike Warren in the television series “Graceland."
Lyra Tan: I could totally see Corey Cott as Dimitri...
Corey Cott, who recently concluded a breakout performance opposite Vanessa Hudgens in Gigi on Broadway, would make another great choice for the role of Dimitri. Cott made his Broadway debut as a Newsies boy in 2012, but has proven since that he's capable of playing the leading man.
