Stapleton recently spoke with Playbill.com about the relaunch of the Playbill Store, which was completely redesigned this past summer.

Stapleton says that new items are constantly added to the storefront at a rapid pace. "In the last six months," he explains, "we have added over 350 musicals, plays, operas and ballets on DVD. We've also added more than 300 Broadway piano/vocal selections, books, plays, and guides for actors. Last month we began offering more than 240 Broadway show posters. And just this month, we began selling the complete line of official Wicked merchandise and the entire catalog of CDs from Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records. We are in negotiations with other distributors of Broadway and performing arts merchandise so that we can continue to expand the range of products available in the store."

The item most frequently purchased is, not too surprisingly, the Ultimate Playbill Binder. This upscale version of the Playbill Vinyl Binder offers archival-quality protection for theatregoers' valuable Playbill collections. Other top sellers include the Playbill Collector's Display Frame, subscriptions to Playbill Magazine, the "Playbill Broadway Yearbook" and Louis Botto's famed "At This Theatre" book.

When asked the advantages of purchasing items through the store, Stapleton explains that the Playbill Store is "the only place you'll find the entire line of Playbill gifts and collectibles, as well as a large range of Broadway and performing arts merchandise, all at reasonable prices. Stapleton also explains that the store is the perfect stop for the Broadway lover on one's holiday gift list.
