Worst onstage mishap: |
I was playing Roxie in a production of Chicago, at the Pioneer Theater Company. During the first preview, I was dramatically exiting stage right after telling off Billy Flynn, and I tripped over some floor lights. I went down like a tree in the forest and was kissing the ground before I knew what happened. I was so embarrassed — I picked myself up and hurried into my dressing room, only to have the stage manager run in and see if I was ok. I wanted to crawl under my chair! Needless to say, I had big bruises on my shins and elbows for the next few weeks. |
