California's Ventura Court Theatre will house the world premiere of Sheldon Penner's Fog of War, a drama speculating what might happen if Los Angeles were overrun by armed revolutionaries, June 25 - Aug. 1.
In Fog, an affluent white man lives in a well-to-do development in the hills above Los Angeles with his daughter, second wife, and a Latina maid. There are riots below on Sunset Blvd. The wife is absent on an errand, when suddenly the house is taken over by three urban guerrillas of the "Amerafrican Peoples Republic."
Penner, who received a Los Angeles Drama-Logue award for his play, Tales of the Great Depression, has also written for The Groundlings Sunday Show.
The cast includes: Vaughn Armstrong, Bill Mayo, Elena Fasan, Jade Hykush, Mister, Jill Remez, and Lissa Layng.
