News Plunkett, Mayes, Glynn and Powell to Be Part of League's Short Play Festival The League of Professional Theatre Women will present its Short Play Festival Nov. 21 at the Goldman-Sonnenfeldt Auditorium.

The evening, which begins at 7 PM, will feature plays written and directed by members of the League. Special guests for the one-night-only event include Carlyn Glynn, Sally Mayes, Maryann Plunkett and Linda Powell. Natasha Katz has designed the lighting for the presentations; Joan D. Firestone and Pam Koslow are producing. The Short Play Festival will feature Zdenka Becker's Odysseus Never Returned, Sheila Rae and Michele Brourman's What Goes Around, P.J. Gibson's Jesse, Deborah Zoe Lauferby's 63 Years, Carol Hall's The River Jordan Lamp, Joan Vail Thorne's Vanity of the Vanities, Lee Hunkins' Blood Cord and Deborah Savadge's Just Dessert. The evening will benefit the League's Education and Professional Programs.

The Goldman-Sonnenfeldt Auditorium is located within the JCC at 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street. Tickets, priced at $25 and $15 (with student ID), are available by calling (212) 501-6667.
