The 9:30 PM concert, according to press notes, "will explore Henry's notion that 'soul music' and music that touches the soul don't always come from the same genre. From John Kander to Jill Scott, Neo Soul to Jazz, and a selection of original compositions, Henry will share an eclectic evening of his favorite tunes in his long awaited NYC solo concert debut."

Henry was nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for his performance in The Scottsboro Boys. He has also been seen on Broadway in American Idiot and In the Heights.

The Triad Theater is located at 158 west 72nd Street. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 or at the door for $15. There is a two-drink minimum. For more information and tickets, visit brownpapertickets.com/event/215088.

The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, directed by Diane Paulus, features a cast led by four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (Ragtime, "Private Practice") as Bess, Drama Desk nominee Norm Lewis (Les Misérables, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Porgy and two-time Tony nominee David Alan Grier (Race) as Sporting Life. The cast also includes Phillip Boykin as Crown, Nikki Renée Daniels as Clara, Henry as Jake, Christopher Innvar as Detective, Bryonha Marie Parham as Serena and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Mariah. The ensemble includes Sumayya Ali, Allison Blackwell, Roosevelt André Credit, Trevon Davis, Joseph Dellger, Wilkie Ferguson, Carmen Ruby Floyd, Gavin Gregory, Heather Hill, David Hughey, Andrea Jones-Sojola, Alicia Hall Moran, Cedric Neal, Phumzile Sojola, Nathaniel Stampley, Julius Thomas III, J.D. According to the producers, Porgy and Bess "is set in Charleston’s fabled Catfish Row, where the beautiful Bess struggles to break free from her scandalous past, and the only one who can rescue her is the crippled but courageous Porgy. Threatened by her formidable former lover Crown, and the seductive enticements of the colorful troublemaker Sporting Life, Porgy and Bess’ relationship evolves into a deep romance that triumphs as one of theater’s most exhilarating love stories."

The Richard Rodgers Theatre is located at 226 West 46th Street. For more information, visit www.porgyandbessonbroadway.com.
