Portugal Productions ends the run of its inaugural production, Wordz by David Ives, at the Connelly Theatre Dec. 2. Performances began Nov. 28. Wordz is a multi-media performance that combines five one-act plays from Ives' All in the Timing, ten artists including painters, photographers and sculptors, and 14 actors including Heather O'Donnell, Alex Portugal and Christina Pawl.

A portion of the proceeds from the show will be given to the Creative Workshops for Kids, a not-for-profit group whose mission it is "to utilize the visual and performing arts to assist at-risk, inner city children and teens," according to a press statement. A silent auction of artwork made by the children of CAW was held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, also to benefit the group.
