News Powers Is Off-Key Diva in Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' Souvenir Beginning March 11 The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis production of Stephen Temperley's Souvenir, starring Neva Rae Powers, begins performances March 11.

Michael Evan Haney directs the St. Louis production, which casts Powers (Grey Gardens, Little Women) as tone deaf eccentric Florence Foster Jenkins and Edwin Cahill as her accompanist Cosme McMoon. Souvenir runs through March 29 in the Studio Theatre. According to production notes, "Eccentric socialite Florence Foster Jenkins believed herself a naturally gifted coloratura soprano, when in fact she couldn't sing a note in tune. But with an indomitable zest for music and with her reluctant accompanist Cosme McMoon in tow, she went from drawing room charity concerts to a sold-out Carnegie Hall concert, all the while oblivious to the audiences rolling in the aisles."

Designing Souvenir are Brian C. Mehring (scenic designer); Betsy Krausnick, Tracy Christenson and Reba Senske (costume designers); John Wylie (lighting designer); and Fitz Patton and Rusty Wandall (sound designers).
