News Pre-Sale for San Fran Run of Legally Blonde Begins Nov. 19 Visa cardholders can snag tickets to the world premiere San Francisco engagement of Legally Blonde from Nov. 19-30, before the general public sale begin.

Beginning Nov. 19, use any Visa card to purchase tickets by ordering online at shnsf.com or by calling (415) 512-7770.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Dec. 3.

The new musical based on the Amanda Brown novel and hit film begins performances at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco Jan. 23, 2007, and continues there to Feb. 25. Legally Blonde opens on Broadway at the Palace Theatre on April 29, 2007. Previews begin on April 3.

Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (La Cage aux Folles) makes his Broadway directorial debut with the new musical comedy, and will also choreograph. Music and lyrics are by both Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and the book is by Heather Hach. James Sampliner serves as music director.

Laura Bell Bundy (Hairspray) stars as Elle, the sorority star "who doesn't take 'no' for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone more 'serious,' Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style."

The production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller and sound design by ACME Sound Partners.

The show is produced on Broadway by Hal Luftig, Fox Theatricals and Dori Berinstein, in association with MGM Onstage, Darcie Denkert and Dean Stolber.

Tickets for the Broadway run at the Palace Theatre go on sale to the public on Feb. 25, 2007, through Ticketmaster.com at (212) 307-4100.
