Wake Up! Productions' world premiere of JoAnna Rush's A Rockette's Tail opens Jan. 15 at the Gascon Center Theatre in Culver City, California. The show runs through Feb. 26.

Written by former Radio City Rockette JoAnna Rush, the often humorous story involves a Vietnam veteran and a former Rockette who are trapped in a crumbling Los Angeles-area apartment building following the 1994 Northridge earthquake there. Both characters are revealed as they experience compelling and often frightening memories that are brought on by the quake's aftershocks.

Directed by Adele Robbins, whose acting work is featured in the current film release, "Cradle Will Rock," A Rockette's Tail stars playwright JoAnna Rush and Don Mandigo (a real-life Vietnam veteran), as well as Butch Klein and Ashley West Leonard.

The production team for A Rockette's Tail includes set designer Kathleen Widomski, lighting designer Leif Gantvoort, costume designer Robert Turturice and sound designer David Robbins.
