Randy Brenner directs the production that runs through May 20. Brenner also staged a reading of The Fix last summer for I.C.T. The musical has a score by Rowe, and book and lyrics by Dempsey. The two also collaborated on musical adaptations of The Witches of Eastwick and Zombie Prom.

First produced by Cameron Mackintosh at the Donmar Warehouse in London in 1997, The Fix follows the mercurial rise of a charismatic young politician and the political machinery that created him. The musical made its U.S. debut at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA, in 1998. Rowe and Dempsey's original musical Brother Russia is currently debuting at the Signature.

The L.A. cast includes original U.S. cast member Sal Mistretta (Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd) reprising his Helen Hayes Award-winning role as Uncle Grahame, in addition to Alix Korey (The Wild Party, Triumph of Love) as Violet and Adam Simmons (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Cal.

Completing the cast are Jay Donnell, Melanie Fernandez, Stephanie Hayslip, David Michael Laffey, William T. Lewisand Carrie St. Louis.

Here's how I.C.T. bills The Fix: "U.S. senator and popular presidential candidate Reed Chandler has died in the arms of his mistress. His widow, Violet, determined that 'if I can't be the wife of the president I'll be his mother,' and her brother-in-law, political king maker Grahame Chandler, thrust her son Cal into the political spotlight. Together, they shepherd Cal through races for city council and the governorship, always with an eye on the final prize – president of the Unites States. Driven by a powerful rock score, The Fix tells a cynical and darkly comic tale of one of the most dysfunctional almost-first families this side of real life Washington politics." Darryl Archibald musical directs The Fix, which is choreographed by Heather Castillo. It has scenic design by Stephen Gifford, lighting design by Donna Ruzika, costume design by Kim DeShazo, sound design by Paul Fabre, hair and wigs by Anthony Gagliardi and property design by Patty and Gordon Briles.

Songs in the musical include "One, Two, Three," "I See the Future," "America's Son," "Mistress of Deception," "Embrace Tomorrow" and "Don't Blame the Prince."
