News Prince, Noguiera and Walton to Read Jarrow-Leigh Musical The Consequences A private industry reading of the new Kyle Jarrow-Nathan Leigh musical The Consequences, an indie-rock tale about the road not taken, will take place March 26 at the New York Theatre Workshop.

Jarrow, who is currently collaborating on the new musical Whisper House with Tony winner Duncan Sheik, penned the book for The Consequences, which features music and lyrics by Jarrow and Leigh (Big Money).

Evan Cabnet will direct a cast that features Zachary Prince (Jersey Boys), Ana Noguiera (Boy in the Bathroom, Barrio Grrrl!) and Matt Walton ("Burn After Reading").

Leigh will lead a band that includes musicians Arvi Sreenivasan and Eric Day.

According to press notes, "Jeremy is 31 years old, a software developer who’s about to get married. Ellie is 28 years old, a singer-songwriter who’s about to get dumped by her record label. Back in high school, they were deeply in love and certain they’d spend the rest of their lives together. It didn’t work out quite the way they thought. When they’re brought back together, ten years later, they start to wonder if maybe they’re meant to be together after all."

The Consequences was workshopped as part of the Williamstown Theatre Festival in August 2009.
