News Principal Casting Announced for West End Return of Dirty Dancing Principal casting has been announced for the West End return of Dirty Dancing, which begins performances July 13 at the Piccadilly Theatre.

American actress Jill Winternitz and Manchester-born Paul-Michael Jones will reprise their roles from the current touring cast as Baby Houseman and Johnny Castle, respectively. Charlotte Gooch, who has previously played the role of the dancer Penny Johnson in the touring cast and Berlin production, as well as understudying in the original London production, will also return.

Winternitz, who trained at London's RADA, has previously played Ophelia in Hamlet and The Prioress in The Canterbury Tales (Queen Mary 2), and appeared in Wounded for the Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble, as Nina in The Seagull (for MXAT) and Sunday in the Park with George (Interlochen Center for the Arts).

Jones has appeared in the West End as Eddie in Mamma Mia!, on a U.K. tour in Never Forget and in Europe in We Will Rock You and Fame - the Musical. He has also represented England as a Latin American and Ballroom Dancer, as one of the top two English couples, at The World Championships in Singapore.

Gooch was recently seen in the West End as Dale Tremont in Top Hat at the Aldwych in London, following a U.K. tour of Grease playing the part of Patty Simcox. Other credits include playing Bombalurina in Cats (European tour), dance partner to Anton du Beke in the workshop of Swing Time: The Dance Musical (Sadler’s Wells), Fly with the Stars (Palladium) and the title role in Cinderella (De La Ware Pavillion, Bexhill).
