She will now play a season in the show at Manchester's Opera House, beginning performances Dec. 5 for a run through Jan. 4, 2015. In a press statement, Presley commented, "I was introduced to the world of pantomime two years ago when I played Wicked Queen at Wimbledon. I can honestly say it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. My grandchildren absolutely loved seeing me on stage and I can’t wait to get that costume back on again and start terrorising the people of Manchester! It’s such a wonderful honour to be spending Christmas here and being part of this British festive family tradition."
The script will once again be written by Eric Potts, who played baker Diggory Compton in "Coronation Street" and as well as writing pantos is one of the U.K.’s best-loved panto dames, appearing at the Opera House in Aladdin in 2009-10 and in Dick Whittington in 2013-14.
