Primary Stages will present a free reading of Fuddy Meers, a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire, at the Phil Bosakowski Theatre in NYC, Nov. 9.

Primary Stages associate producer Seth Gordon said the piece, directed by Jessica Bauman, is a "wacky and touching comedy about an amnesiac trying to piece her life back together." Gordon said the script won the 1998 Phil Bosakowski Bug 'n' Bub Award, a prize endowed by the late writer for works that reflect his sense of humor. "Bug" and "bub" are pet names Bosakowski and his wife shared.

Lindsay-Abaire will receive a check and a bottle of champagne following the reading. A reception follows.

The cast for Fuddy Meers includes Pamela Nyberg, John McAdams, Keith Reddin, Mary Louise Burke, Leslie Lyles, Aaron Stanford and Damian Young. Fuddy Meers was developed at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center this past summer. Both Reddin and Lyles took part in that staged reading.

No reservations are required for the 6:30 PM reading. Admission is free. Primary Stages Phil Bosakowski Theatre is at 354 W. 45th St., Second Floor, in New York City.
