News Promises Star Finneran to Step Into April 11 Love, Loss Performance Katie Finneran, who co-stars in the current Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, will use her night off April 11 to help out the Off-Broadway production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore at the Westside Theatre.

Finneran will appear in the 7 PM performance of Love because three of the five women (Capathia Jenkins, Lucy DeVito and Shirley Knight) scheduled to appear will be out this evening, and the show only has two understudies.

Rather than canceling the performance, Finneran, a Love, Loss vet, will perform, according to a production spokesperson.

Karen Carpenter directs the production that currently features Lucy DeVito, Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart, Shirley Knight and Capathia Jenkins, who will appear through April 25.

The Ephrons penned the play based on Ilene Beckerman's book of the same name that "uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to."

The design team includes Jo Winiarski (scenic design), Jessica Jahn (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Walter Trarbach (sound design) and Maria Verel (make-up design). Carpenter also directed the Monday night readings of Love, Loss, and What I Wore that were presented this past winter and spring as a benefit for Dress for Success. A portion of the proceeds from the current run will benefit Dress for Success.

For tickets phone (212) 239-6200 or visit Telecharge. The Westside Theatre is located at 407 West 43rd Street in Manhattan.
