News Proof, Topdog, West Side Story and New Musical Revue Announced for Trinity Rep's 2003-2004 Season Providence, Rhode Island's Trinity Repertory Company will highlight recent Pulitzer Prize winners Proof by David Auburn and Topdog/Underdog by Suzan Lori-Parks as part of its upcoming 2003-2004 season. The company has announced six out of a seven-production lineup that blends classics with new works.

Trinity Rep will take on contemporary classics such as Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten and the musical West Side Story featuring a book by Arthur Laurents with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The company also stages William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary season, the Providence-based troupe will introduce a new musical revue, Songs of Innocence, Songs of Experience, featuring the work of Stephen Sondheim, Joni Mitchell, Gershwin, John Prine and others. Amanda Dehnert handles direction and musical direction for the project.

In keeping with its tradition, Trinity Rep will announce a new play in the final season slot shortly. In recent years, the company chose to launch new works by Tony Kushner (Homebody/Kabul) and currently Paula Vogel (The Long Christmas Ride Home).
