SPAM 2000 is not the name of a new, improved processed meat product, but a planned gathering of the Society of Property Artisan Managers (SPAM), July 27-30 in Milwaukee, WI.

The national conference for prop professionals is being hosted by Skylight Opera Theatre and Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, resident troupes in Milwaukee. The conference includes seminars, business and committee meetings and tours of local facilities. About 40 participants are expected to exchange ideas.

Among featured seminars are "Forearms for the Stage," a two session seminar led by Milwaukee Rep prop shop manager Jim Guy.

Proppeople.com's Sean McArdle will be a guest speaker. He will discuss support network available through his web site as part of SPAM 2000's "Internet Seminar."

Attendance is open to prop masters from the 70 theatres that comprise the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). For information about SPAM 2000, call Jim Guy at (414) 224-1761.
