News PS 122 Honors Justin Vivian Bond, Danny Hoch, Carmelita Tropicana April 25; Rufus Wainwright Performs Tony Award nominee Justin Vivian Bond, Danny Hoch and Carmelita Tropicana are honored at Performance Space 122's 30th anniversary season gala April 25 at the Abrons Arts Center.

John Kelly and Lisa Kron host the 6 PM event that promises a musical performance by Rufus Wainwright, as well as performances by Nilaja Sun, Ann Carlson, Moe Angelos, Peggy Shaw and Lois Weaver.

The gala evening also includes the presentation of the 2011 Ethyl Eichelberger Award, a screening of the Larry Fessenden documentary "STUNT: A Musical Motion Picture," and a performance installation by Pat Oleszko.

The Shining Star Award is presented to PS 122 founders and board pioneers Charles Dennis, Tim Miller, Charles Moulton, Peter Rose, Joe Donohue, Chet Kerr, Timothy J. McClimon, Pepon Osorio, Peggy Pettitt and Kathy Spahn.

Bond, who was Tony-nominated for the 2006 Broadway run of Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway, has performed numerous evenings at PS 122 beginning with Kate Bornstein's Hidden: A Gender through Lustre in 2008. Hip hop theatre artist Hoch is known for Taking Over and Jails, Hospitals & Hip-Hop. Carmelita Tropicana (Alina Troyano) has performed Memorias, de la Revolucion, Single Wet Female and Candela Y Azucar at PS 122 and serves on the board.
