News Public and LAByrinth to Co-Produce Guinea Pig Solo in Spring The Public Theater and the LAByrinth Theatre Company will collaborate on the new play, Guinea Pig Solo, this spring.

The collaboration was hinted at earlier this year when the Public revealed that the LAByrinth would by in residence at the Public during the 2003-2004 season. LAByrinth has already produced Robert Glaudini's Dutch Heart of Man under the Public's roof, in a staging independent of The Public's programming. Guinea Pig Solo is by Brett C. Leonard, an ensemble member at LAByrinth. The show, based on Buchner's Woyzeck, was written specifically for the LAByrinth company of actors. No casting has been established at this time.

Currently playing at the Public are Caroline, or Chance, the new musical by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori; and the Darko Tresjnak production of Two Noble Kinsman. Tracey Scott Wilson's play, The Story, begins Nov. 18.

LAByrinth's past plays include Stephen Adly Giurgus' Our Lady of 121st Street and Jesus Hopped the A Train.
