News Public's "Joseph Stiglitz on the Rich and the Poor" Talk to Feature Lear deBessonet and Oskar Eustis Lear deBessonet, Oskar Eustis and Darryl McDaniels will be part of the Public Theater's "Public Forum Solo: Joseph Stiglitz on the Rich and the Poor" event.

Presented Dec. 9 at 7 PM, Nobel Prize-winning economist Stiglitz will speak about "income inequality and what the artistic community can do about it," according to the Public. A talkback with Stiglitz will feature The Tempest and Good Person of Szechwan director deBessonet, Public Theater artistic director Eustis and Run-DMC's McDaniels.

"Public Forum Solos are designed to bring great artists and theatre audiences into contact with America's most vital thinkers, said director of Public Forum Jeremy McCarter in a statement. "We can't think of a better way to inaugurate the Forum Solos than by hearing Joseph Stiglitz give a talk about the most pressing issue of our time, and having some of New York’s most socially engaged artists respond to his ideas about what the creative community can do to help."
