News Public's "New Work" Reading Series Ends with Parks' Latest, April 30 Off-Broadway's Public Theatre will conclude its seventh annual "New Work Now!" festival with a readings of Suzan-Lori Parks' latest rumination on Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter," Fucking A. Parks’ earlier In the Blood also drew inspiration from the story of Hester Prynne.

Off-Broadway's Public Theatre will conclude its seventh annual "New Work Now!" festival with a readings of Suzan-Lori Parks' latest rumination on Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter," Fucking A. Parks’ earlier In the Blood also drew inspiration from the story of Hester Prynne. Featured in the cast are Adina Porter (Parks' Venus), Seth Gilliam and Mike Hodge. The reading will take place at 7 PM. For reservations, call (212) 260 2400.
