Moisés Kaufman — who staged the acclaimed 2009 world premiere production at CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre — returns with his cast and creative team intact. Opening night will be April 25 for the new run scheduled through May 30.

The cast features Glenn Davis, Brad Fleischer, Arian Moayed, Kevin Tighe, Hrach Titizian, Sheila Vand and Necar Zadegan.

In Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, according to CTG notes, "the lives and, in some cases, the afterlives, of two American soldiers, an Iraqi translator, the ghosts of Saddam Hussein's sons Uday and Ousay, and a Bengal tiger all intersect in a surreal, darkly humorous and gently balanced view of war and its aftermath."

The play was named among The 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalists with Kristoffer Diaz's The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity and Sarah Ruhl's In the Next Room or the vibrator play. The musical Next to Normal, by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, won the top honor.

The design team for Bengal Tiger... includes Derek McLane (set), David Zinn (costumes), David Lander (lighting), sound designer Cricket S. Myers and composer Kathryn Bostic. The production stage manager is David S. Franklin.

Tickets for Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo are available by calling (213) 628-2772, in person at the CTG box office at the Ahmanson Theatre or online at CenterTheatreGroup.org.
