News Pulitzer Prize Finalist, Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue, to Play Montclair's Luna Stage Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue, a 2007 Pulitzer finalist penned by Quiara Alegria Hudes — the librettist for the Broadway-bound musical In the Heights — will be presented at Luna Stage.

Katherine Kovner will direct the work, which is scheduled to begin performances on Stage 2 Jan. 24, 2008. The run will officially open Jan. 26 for an engagement through Feb. 17.

Continuing the 15th anniversary season for the New Jersey stage, the drama explores "war and its impact on three generations of a Puerto Rican family when a young soldier returns from Iraq and is faced with the decision of returning for a second tour," as show notes describe.

Hudes' plays also include The Adventures of Barrio Grrrl! and Yemaya’s Belly. She penned the libretto to the musical In the Heights, which has played an Off-Broadway run and will make the leap to Broadway later this season.

Kovner has staged Iphigenia and Other Daughters for Luna and Roxy Font at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2007.
