The politicians in the New York City borough of Queens have always liked to take center stage -- and on Nov. 22 they will do just that when they strut their stuff in The 1997 Legislative Revue. A few of the probable highlights: Jeff Wiesenfeld, Al Stabile and Walter McCaffrey in a Star Trek sendup; Mark Weprin in an as-yet-unrevealed Chicago parody ("Mr. Cellophane"?); and Borough President Claire Shulman and Speaker Peter Vallone in big, splashy song and dance numbers -- which of course are top secret until curtain.
Cocktails are at 7 PM and the show begins at 8:30 PM at Queens Theatre in the Park (in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, near the Queens Museum). For tickets, call (718) 760-0064.
