Accompanied by a live orchestra and with special guests Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins in the West End and Broadway, most recently seen in London as Clara in the Donmar Warehouse's Passion) and Olivia Archbold, the concert features show-stopping numbers from musicals including South Pacific, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Love Never Dies and Sunset Boulevard. Karimloo, who was born in Iran, began his career in Toronto. In the West End, he has played both Raoul and the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, Enjolras in Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre and 02 Arena), and the Phantom in Love Never Dies.
The Welsh Concert Orchestra will accompany him at Bristol's Colston Hall Oct. 13, and the Manchester Concert Orchestra will accompany him on Oct. 22 at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall and Oct. 29 at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall. David Shrubsole is the conductor for all the concerts.
