Written by and starring Arnie Burton and Jay Russell, the evening of song and sketches will be "skewering the theatre world and celebrating the 'fringes' of the theatre" in the tradition of Nichols & May or Kathy & Mo, according to show materials. Shane Jacobsen is also featured in the show. The 82-minute tour de force debuted at the 2002 New York International Fringe Festival and has also been seen at PSNBC, Ars Nova and Chashama. An Evening with Burton & Russell was one of the finalists at the HBO/ Aspen Comedy Festival Auditions at Madison Square Garden.

Burton recently performed in the Rattlestick Theater/Century Theater productions of The Last Sunday in June and will be seen in the upcoming Berkeley Repertory Theatre staging of The Mystery of Irma Vep. Other credits include Broadway's Amadeus and Off-Broadway's Mere Mortals.

Russell made his Broadway debut in The Play What I Wrote and will play in The Public Theatre revival of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart. He has also appeared in the national tour of Beauty and the Beast.
