News Rasheeda Speaking, Starring Dianne Wiest and Tonya Pinkins, Broadcast Tonight on PBS The second season of "Theater Close-Up," a collaboration between THIRTEEN and New York City area non-profit Off-Broadway theatres, begins Oct. 1 at 9 PM with The New Group's Rasheeda Speaking.

Tony Award winner Blythe Danner hosts the series.

Rasheeda Speaking was presented at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre Feb. 11-March 22, 2015. Cynthia Nixon directed Joel Drake Johnson's play about racial tensions in the workplace and post-racial America. Rasheeda Speaking starred Tonya Pinkins and Dianne Wiest. The cast also featured Patricia Conolly and Darren Goldstein.

Next will be Mint Theater Company's Fashions for Men Oct. 15 at 9 PM. Fashions for Men was presented Feb. 3-April 15, 2015. Davis McCallum directed Ferenc Molnár's play, which tells the story of shop owner Peter Juhász, "a saintly beacon of decency who only sees the good in everyone, making him easy prey for the sinners who surround him." Fashions for Men starred Joe Delafield, Annie Purcell and John Tufts.

"Theater Close-Up" will also feature Tom Dugan's Wiesenthal, the true story of Simon Wiesenthal – nicknamed the "Jewish James Bond" – who devoted his life to bringing more than 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice. Wiesenthal was filmed at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, where it ran Oct. 24, 2014-Feb. 22, 2015.

Nikkole Salter's Repairing a Nation, the story of the Davis family, whose holiday celebration goes awry when the family matriarch insists they join a lawsuit seeking reparations for the Tulsa Race Riots, will also be featured. The cast of Repairing a Nation included Chantal Jean-Pierre, Angel Moore, Landon Woodson, Stephanie Barry and Phil McGlaston. The play was presented by Crossroads Theatre Company in New Brunswick, NJ, where it ran Feb. 26 - Mar. 8, 2015.

Broadcast dates for Wiesenthal and Repairing a Nation will be announced at a later time.
