Off-Broadway's Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced a benefit reading of Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion, to be held at the Daryl Roth Theatre March 14.
The reading, presented with Tom Kirdahy Productions, will feature Tony winners Nikki M. James and Lois Smith, Tony nominees Brooks Ashmanskas and Arian Moayed, as well as Broadway alums Rosie Perez and Michael Urie. Rattlestick board member and actor Zachary Quinto will direct.

The benefit will support Rattlestick's Artistic Home Campaign to renovate the historic theatre, including the installation of an ADA-accessible elevator, ADA-accessible bathrooms, expanded dressing rooms, new lobby, and more to make the theatre fully accessible.
Unusual Acts of Devotion has yet to be heard publicly in NYC. McNally's play about a group of neighbors celebrating on a Greenwich Village rooftop on a hot summer night was produced in California and Pennsylvania in 2008. The five-time Tony-winning playwright, who passed away last year, was a close collaborator with Rattlestick since its founding in 1994.
Broadway favorites Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, and Justin Guarini performed at the event aimed at establishing a museum honoring the late Broadway icon.
The event at Central Park's Delacorte Theater will feature performances and appearances by Renée Elise Goldsberry, Oscar Isaac, Danai Gurira, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more.
The Aladdin and Mean Girls stars, respectively, will help support the Bette Midler-founded organization's mission to rescue parks and community gardens in underserved neighborhoods.
