The 7 PM concert will feature Broadway stars singing fresh, original approaches—pop, soul, R&B, rock and more—of holiday songs off the "New York City Christmas" album, which will be available for purchase at the concert. Proceeds from the event will benefit ASTEP.
Conceived, produced and music-directed by orchestrator Lynne Shankel (Cry-Baby, Altar Boyz), the concert will also feature performances from Tony nominees Sherie Rene Scott (Everyday Rapture, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever), as well as Sierra Boggess (Master Class, The Little Mermaid), Chester Gregory (Sister Act, Dreamgirls), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell, Everyday Rapture), Betsy Wolfe (Tales Of The City, Everyday Rapture), Andy Karl (Wicked, 9 to 5), Sally Wilfert (Make Me A Song, Assassins), recording artist Anya Singleton, David Josefsberg (The Wedding Singer, Altar Boyz) and Michael Buchanan (Addams Family, Cry-Baby), among others.
Also appearing will be musicians Shankel (on piano), Joe Mowatt (drums/percussion), Randy Landau (bass), Summer Boggess (cello), Cliff Lyons and Scott Kreitzer (saxophones), and Craig Magnano and Michael Aarons (guitars).
