The 7 PM concert features Broadway stars singing fresh, original approaches — pop, soul, R&B, rock and more — of holiday songs off the "New York City Christmas" album, which is available for purchase at the concert. Proceeds from the event will benefit ASTEP.

Conceived, produced and music-directed by orchestrator Lynne Shankel (Cry-Baby, Altar Boyz), the concert features performances from Tony nominees Raúl Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, The Homecoming, Company, Taboo), Sherie Rene Scott (Everyday Rapture, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever), as well as Sierra Boggess (Master Class, The Little Mermaid), Chester Gregory (Sister Act, Dreamgirls), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell, Everyday Rapture), Betsy Wolfe (Tales Of The City, Everyday Rapture), Andy Karl (Wicked, 9 to 5), Sally Wilfert (Make Me A Song, Assassins), recording artist Anya Singleton, David Josefsberg (The Wedding Singer, Altar Boyz), Michael Buchanan (Addams Family, Cry-Baby), Katy Basile, Derrick Cobey, Carlos Encinias, Desi Oakley, Seph Stanek and Julia Burrows, among others.

"This year, we have the return of Sherie Rene Scott, who will open the show," music director Shankel told Playbill.com. "We have Raul Esparza singing not one but two numbers, and Lindsay Mendez is doing an extended scat section on her number. Instead of a single host, we'll have multiple guest hosts — including some surprises. I'll give one away — the amazing Seth Numrich from War Horse."

Also appearing will be musicians Shankel (on piano), Joe Mowatt (drums/percussion), Randy Landau (bass), Summer Boggess (cello), Justin Smith (violin), Colin Brigstocke (trumpet), Cliff Lyons and Jeff Schiller (saxophones), and Craig Magnano and Michael Aarons (guitars).

"New York City Christmas" is also available on CD at PlaybillStore.com here. Since 2003, ASTEP has partnered with community organizations and schools to deliver after-school, weekend, and summer arts education and empowerment programs. ASTEP currently serves three communities—New York, NY; Deep South Dade, FL; and Bangalore, India. For more information, visit www.asteponline.org.
