News Reading of Hudes' Water by the Spoonful Presented at Hartford Stage June 24 Armando Riesco and Nilaja Sun take part in a reading of Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Quiara Hudes' Water by the Spoonful June 24 at Hartford Stage.

Kent Gash, associate artistic director of the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, directs the free 7:30 PM reading of the play that deals with addiction and recovery. Water by the Spoonful is part of a planned trilogy that began with Hudes' Pulitzer Prize finalist, Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue.

Hudes received a 2008 Tony nomination for penning the book for the Tony-winning musical In the Heights. Her work also includes Yemaya's Belly, The Adventures of Barrio Grrrl! and 26 Miles, which received its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre under the direction of Kent Gash in March.

Water by the Spoonful is presented at the Hartford Stage rehearsal studios in the Richardson Building, 942 Main Street, Hartford. For more information visit www.hartfordstage.org.
