The Maurice Sendak and Carole King musical wraps up the summer Encores! Off-Center season.

Performances begin August 2 for the concert revival of Maurice Sendak and Carole King’s family-friendly musical Really Rosie at New York City Center. The show is the third and final production of the Encores! Off-Center season, which also included Assassins and The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin.

Really Rosie is directed by Leigh Silverman and will run through August 5. Watch rehearsal highlights from the show in the video above.

The musical follows a group of Brooklyn kids on a typical summer’s day. To pass the time, Rosie, the self-proclaimed sassiest kid on her block, decides to direct a movie based on the story of her life.

School of Rock star Taylor Caldwell plays Rosie and is joined onstage by Swayam Bhatia, Kenneth Cabral (Runaways), Ayodele Casel (Off-Center Jamboree, Fall for Dance), Jaiya Chetram, Eduardo Hernandez (On Your Feet!), Nanyellin Liriano, Chris Lopes, Zell Steele Morrow (Fun Home), Charlie Pollock (The Wild Party), Ruth Righi (School of Rock), Anthony Rosenthal (Falsettos), and Nicole Wildy.

Really Rosie features music direction by Carmel Dean and Mary-Mitchell Campbell and choreography by Ayodele Casel.
