The production will run July 29-Aug. 31 in the Gil Cates Theater. Creative team and casting will be announced at a later date.

The drama, according to press notes, is described as such: "Greg’s tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his seemingly innocuous remarks about a female coworker’s pretty face (and his girlfriend’s lack thereof) sets of a firestorm of self-deceit, treachery and their own willingness to change."

Tony-nominated in 2009 for Best Play, Reasons to be Pretty is part of a series that began with The Shape of Things and Fat Pig (seen at the Geffen in 2006).

The Birthday Party was scheduled to begin previews Feb. 4 prior to an official opening Feb. 12.
