Luker's official website reports that the actress will join Fred Willard and George Dvorsky for the July 18-30 mounting of the musical at the Massachusetts venue, which bills itself as "American's oldest professional summer theatre." No, No, Nanette, which was revived on Broadway in 1971 starring Helen Gallagher, is based on the Frank Mandel-Emil Nyitray comedy My Lady Friends and features music by Vincent Youmans, lyrics by Irving Caesar and Otto Harbach and a book by Harbach and Frank Mandel. Rebecca Luker starred opposite Craig Bierko in the acclaimed revival of The Music Man, garnering Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her role as Marian. Luker also appeared with Michael Cerveris and Judy Kuhn in the Kennedy Center production of Stephen Sondheim's Passion, and her other theatrical credits include roles in Nine, The Sound of Music, Show Boat, The Secret Garden and The Phantom of the Opera.
The summer Cape Playhouse season will also include productions of Ambassador Satch, The Dining Room, Ain't Misbehavin', Around the World in 80 Days and Don't Dress for Dinner.
