The special features excerpts from a "Times Talks" discussion with Didion and Redgrave held earlier this month.

The Year of Magical Thinking begins previews March 6 and opens March 29 at the Booth Theatre and runs for 24 weeks. David Hare directs the work, which is based on Didion's acclaimed memoir.

Press notes describe the play as such: "In The Year of Magical Thinking, Vanessa Redgrave relives an almost unfathomably shocking period in Joan Didion's life. Capturing the compassion, humor, and stark bewilderment of a fiercely intelligent woman whose world lurches suddenly from the ordinary to the unimaginable, The Year of Magical Thinking is a love letter to a child and a tribute to an extraordinary, unconventional marriage, told with raw candor and a brilliant storyteller's gift for the absurd."

The Booth Theatre is at 222 West 45th Street. Tickets are available by visiting the box office, calling Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200 (800-432-7250 outside the New York metro area) or by visiting www.Telecharge.com. For more information visit www.magicalthinkingonbroadway.com .
