Reefer Madness, winner of the L.A. Ovation Award for Best Musical, along with four other Ovation honors, is now leading the field for the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Awards. In nominations announced Feb. 9, Reefer Madness scored eight nods, beating When Pigs Fly by one. Interart Theatre's The Cherry Orchard was the straight play leader with five nominations.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, according to the Circle's rules, 30 of the 60 nominees will win, with multiple winners allowed in all categories. The LADCC awards ceremony will take place March 20 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. For tickets and information call (626) 296 1212.
