News Rehearsals for Wonderful Town Tour Begin in August; Tour Launches in Houston The Broadway revival of Wonderful Town, now playing at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre, will launch its national tour in Houston this fall, the show's director-choreographer Kathleen Marshall confirmed.

Rehearsals will begin in August. The first engagement is at the Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall in Houston, Texas. The show will play the Lone Star venue Sept. 28-Oct. 10.

Marshall said casting is ongoing, but that the road show would not feature any of the leads seen in the Broadway presentation.

Marshall was nominated for Tony Awards for both her direction and choreography.

Other stops for Town include Oct. 12-17 at the Marcus Center in Milwaukee; Feb. 23-March 6, 2005, at Boston's Colonial Theatre; May 24-29, 2005, at the Keller Auditorium in Portland, OR; the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, May 31-June 5, 2005; and Tampa Bay's Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, April 12-17, 2005.

The original cast album for the Leonard Bernstein-Betty Comden-Adolph Green show was recently released on the DRG label.
