News Relativity Will Distribute "Hector and The Search For Happiness," Starring Toni Collette and Christopher Plummer Relativity has acquired the U.S. distribution rights for the comedy "Hector and The Search For Happiness," according to Deadline.com.

Directed by Peter Chelsom, the film's cast includes Simon Pegg ("Star Trek," "Shaun of the Dead"), Tony and Academy Award nominee Toni Collette (The Wild PartyThe Realistic Joneses), Rosamund Pike ("An Education," "Gone Girl"), Stellan Skarsgard ("The Avengers," "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"), Jean Reno ("The Da Vinci Code," "Mission: Impossible") and Tony and Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer (Barrymore, King Lear).

The script, based on the best-selling novel by François Lelord, was written by Maria von Heland, Tinker Lindsay and Chelsom. It follows a disillusioned psychiatrist (Pegg) searching the globe to find the secret to happiness.

Relativity has dated the film for a Sept. 26 platform opening. It will receive an expand release Oct. 3.
