As previously reported, U.K. singer-songwriter Gary Barlow was brought on board to write additional material for the musical that retains songs originally penned by Grey Gardens and Far From Heaven writers Scott Frankel and Michael Korie.

Olivier Award-nominated playwright James Graham (This House) was also enlisted to refine the book, originally penned by Allan Knee and based on his play The Man Who Was Peter Pan. Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Hair, Porgy and Bess) has taken over as director.

The recent workshop tested the new material, according to the Daily Mail, with some 20 new songs penned by Barlow, an "X Factor" judge and a member of the band Take That.

Academy Award-winning producer Harvey Weinstein is shepherding the musical that premiered last fall at the Curve Theatre in Leicester, U.K. The production is based on the Academy Award-nominated 2004 film of the same title. A potential goal is to test the musical at the American Repertory Theater in spring 2014, where Paulus is artistic director, with a Broadway run to follow.
