The Verdict Reviews: Critics Weigh in on Bradley Cooper's Leonard Bernstein Biopic, Maestro

The reviews are rolling in for the biopic Maestro, directed by and starring Bradley Cooper as American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. The Netflix film is in theatres November 22 and will premiere on the streamer December 20. 

The Netflix film centers on the lifelong relationship between composer-conductor Bernstein and actress Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. Tony and Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan stars alongside Cooper. 

The film's starry cast also includes Matt Bomer as clarinetist David Oppenhiem, a close friend of Bernstein's; Michael Urie as choreographer Jerome Robbins; Gideon Glick as musician Tommy Cothran, a rumored lover of Bernstein's; Maya Hawke as Jamie Bernstein, daughter of Leonard and Felicia; Sarah Silverman as Shirley Bernstein, Leonard's sister; and Miriam Shor as actress and model Cynthia O'Neal.
