Directed by Jack Cummings III, the first New York revival of Cariani's play continues through Feb. 23.

In addition to playwright Cariani (Fiddler on the Roof), the cast features Donna Lynne Champlin (Billy Elliot, Sweeney Todd), Kevin Isola (Jericho, Brooklyn Boy) and Kelly McAndrew (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Still Life).

"It’s winter in Almost, Maine," according to press notes. "Salty waitresses, lost visitors, tough and not-so–tough women and men crack open some beer, start their snowmobiles, pitch a tent, and gather under the northern lights to try to make sense of this strange thing called love. Funny, sexy, sad, and ever-searching, the people of Almost, Maine are stalked by dreams and fears alike as they ante up again and again determined to get past the 'almost' to capture the real. Love is local and the world is strange in this midwinter night’s dream."

In a previous statement Cariani said, “I'm incredibly excited to bring Almost, Maine back to New York City with Transport Group. Acting in my long-time collaborator Jack Cummings III's production is a thrilling opportunity and will be a milestone in the journey of the play.”

Show times are Tuesday-Thursday at 7 PM, Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

The Gym at Judson is located at 243 Thompson Street at West 4th Street. Prices start at $49 for general admission, and $65 for premium reserved seating. For more information visit transportgroup.org or phone (866) 811-4111.
