News ReVoltaire Benefit" Satirizes Chicago Theatre, June 15 CHICAGO--Tonight the Chicago theatre community laughs at itself—for a good cause. Held at The Second City mainstage, "The ReVoltaire Benefit" is an evening of satire that brings together performers and troupes, including The Second City, The Free Associates, The Factory Theatre, and The Annoyance Theatre, to perform scenes and songs that spoof and satirize the Chicago theatre scene. The event will also feature guest performances by toga clad members of Chicago's fourth estate, including Jack Helbig (Daily Herald, Reader), Chris Jones (Chicago Tribune, New City), Lucia Mauro (Chicago Sun-Times, New City), Jonathan Abarbanel (Chicago Sun-Times, WBEZ Public Radio) and myself.
