Talk show hostess Ricki Lake is going back to her roots as a film star Sept. 16 when she celebrates Hairspray on her show. Special guests include filmmaker John Waters, her film co-stars Jerry Stiller and Michael St. Gerard and the cast of the new Broadway musical based on the hit cult film. Although Marissa Jaret Winokur's been getting attention for her stage role as Plain Jane Tracy Turnblad, Lake created the Hairspray role in the 1988 movie. Lake will chat with director Waters, and Stiller and St. Gerard, who played her father Wilbur and heartthrob Link Larkin, as well as pay a visit to her own town, where Lake will talk to her childhood friends and family.

The company of Hairspray the musical will perform "Good Morning, Baltimore" on the show.

Sept. 16 marks the beginning of the 10th anniversary of "The Ricki Lake Show." "The Ricki Lake Show" broadcasts on UPN at 5 PM and on Fox at 10 AM in New York City.
