News Ricky Martin, Elena Roger and Michael Cerveris Will End Run in Evita in January; New Stars to Be Announced Producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders announced Nov. 26 that Grammy winner Ricky Martin (Che), Olivier Award winner Elena Roger (Eva Perón) and Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris (Juan Perón) will play their final performances in the current Broadway revival of Evita Jan. 26, 2013, at the Marquis Theatre.

The Tony-nominated revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical will continue its open-ended run following their departure. The new stars will be announced at a later date. 

Directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award winner Rob Ashford, Evita began previews March 12 and opened on April 5, 2012, at The Marquis Theatre.

"Eva Perón used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. She won international acclaim and adoration from her own people as a champion of the poor, while glamour, power and greed made her one of the world’s first major political celebrities," according to press notes.

The cast also features Christina DeCicco as the alternate for Eva (Wed evening; Sat matinee), Max von Essen as Magaldi, Rachel Potter as the Mistress, Ashley Amber, George Lee Andrews, Wendi Bergamini, Eric L. Christian, Kristine Covillo, Jon Cudia, Margot de La Barre, Bradley Dean, Ava DeMary, Rebecca Eichenberger, J. Austin Eyer, Melanie Field, Jennie Ford, Constantine Germanacos, Laurel Harris, Bahiyah Hibah, Nick Kenkel, Erica Mansfield, Emily Mechler, Sydney Morton, Jessica Lea Patty, Aleks Pevec, Kristie Dale Sanders, Timothy Shew, Mavis Simpson-Ernst, Michaeljon Slinger, Johnny Stellard, Alex Michael Stoll, Daniel Torres and Matt Wall.
