The very prolific Mac Wellman's latest, Jennie Richee, will receive its New York City premiere at the hands of the Ridge Theater, April 6-14. Bob McGrath directs the Off-Off-Broadway production, staged at The Kitchen in Chelsea. Jennie Richee is inspired by the art and writings of Henry Drager. Daniel Zippi stars as Drager. Wellman's Cat's Paw bowed at Soho Rep earlier this year. Furthermore, new productions of his Cellophane and Bad Penny are expected at the Flea Theatre in April. Other Wellman plays include Hypatia, Murder of Crows and Sincerity Forever.
